Joe Rhoda

Joe Rhoda, 80, of Fredonia died Tuesday morning (June 13, 2023) at his home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1942, in Dunkirk, NY, the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Bartolomeo) Rhoda.

Joe graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1960 and went on to attend Youngstown State University in Ohio for three years; he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Empire State College at Fredonia. He was employed as the Human Resources manager at Cliffstar Corporation in Dunkirk for many years prior to his retirement.

Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family. He was a talented and prolific artist and was very proud of his Sicilian heritage.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie (Marcantonio) Rhoda; two daughters, Aiesha (Brian Rasmus) Rhoda of Dunkirk and Amanda Mangine of Meadville, PA; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Abigail, Angelo, Michael, and Morgan; and his nephew, Jason Irwin.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Irwin.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
