Helen C. Kuzara, 98, of Dunkirk, NY passed away peacefully at Houghton Rehab and Nursing Home on May 25, 2023. Helen was preceded by her husband Barney A. Kuzara; her parents Joseph and Lucille Gilebarto, along with her siblings David Gilebarto, Grace Testa, Dorothy Gilebarto, Rose Marie Mekus, along with her great granddaughter Tia Grace Conti.
Helen was a lifelong Dunkirk resident and attended Dunkirk Schools.
Surviving are her two daughters and a son, Carol (Anthony) Conti of Lakeland, Florida, Linda (Charles) Siragusa of Fredonia and Barney (Linda) Kuzara of Dunkirk along with her five grandchildren Christopher (Samantha) Conti and Timothy (Melissa) Conti all of Florida, Michael Fermier of Westfield, Tonia (Christopher) Piede of Dunkirk and Heather (Aaron) Pietro of Fredonia.
She is also survived by her 15 great grandchildren and her siblings James (Sandra) Gilebarto of Jamestown and Judith (Tom) Green of Buffalo. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
