Pauline Zaccari, 84, of Fredonia died Saturday evening (Jan. 21, 2023) at home.
She was born July 16, 1938, in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie (Scarlata) Alfonso.
A lifelong resident of the area, Pauline was a graduate of Silver Creek High School, class of 1956. She had been employed as the Manager of the Business Office at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk and was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Survivors include one son, Peter C. (Pamela) Zaccari II of Stow, OH; two daughters, Denise Kaus of Batavia and Lori (Bob) Zaccari of Rochester; five grandchildren, Jenn, Chelsea, Danielle, Johnna, and Zachary; four great-grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony, Lucia, and Vivienne; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter C. Zaccari; and one brother, Joseph Alfonso.
Pauline was a beautiful person filled with love and life. She always dressed to the nines and was known for her big hair. She loved her family and she loved her puppies. She was loved and will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. The burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeshore Humane Society, Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
