David A. Siragusa

David A. “Busty” Siragusa, 71, of Brocton died Saturday evening (May 14, 2022) at home.

He was born Feb. 27, 1951, in Dunkirk, the son of the late Marion and Victoria (Lanski) Siragusa.

A lifelong resident of the area, David was a graduate of Fredonia High School, class of 1969. He had been employed as the groundskeeper at Brooks Memorial Hospital for many years, retiring in February of 2013.

Throughout the years, David “Busty” could be found spending his weekends at Stateline Speedway or Eriez Speedway as the number one pitt crew member for Mark Joy and later Mike Moon. David was a huge NASCAR fan and had many collectibles of his favorite drivers’ cars – Dale Earnheardt Sr. and Jr. David also enjoyed traveling all throughout the county with his children to local events and high school sporting events.

In the most recent years, David made the best of memories of being Papa “with the hat” to Makayla and Jaskson and attending either dance or sporting events that they were involved in.

David will always be remembered as having an outgoing personality and always having a good joke or story to tell.

Survivors include one daughter, Amber V. (John Phillips Jr.) Siragusa of Fredonia; one son, Nicholas D. (Cheyenne) Siragusa of Lockport; and two grandchildren, Makayla and Jackson Phillips.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
