Violet M. Reynolds, 80, of Dunkirk, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning (Dec. 22, 2021) at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Dec. 29, 1940, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Elsie (Parr) Reynolds.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Violet was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. She had been employed by Rusch’s Restaurant and the Vineyard Restaurant.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dunkirk and was an avid knitter and sewer.
Survivors include two sisters: Nancy Hancock of Gowanda, and Kathleen Reynolds of South Dayton; one niece, Beth (Tom) Pfleuger of South Dayton; two great-nephews: Clayton and Nathan Degenfelder; one great-niece, Helen Dunkleman; one great great niece, Jasmine; and two great-great nephews, Cooper and Lucus.
Calling hours will be held Monday, Dec. 27, from 5-7 p.m. at the McGraw Kowal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Dale Woods will officiate. Burial will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
