Beverly Ann “Nana” Fisk, 88 of Fredonia, N.Y., entered in eternal life Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, peacefully at home, with her loving family by her side.

Beverly was born in Brocton, N.Y., Aug. 21, 1933, the daughter of the late Rudolph Paul (Kichrka) Brown Sr., and Rose Ann (Heiderman) Brown.

Beverly graduated from Brocton Central School in 1951 and from WCA School for Nursing in Jamestown, N.Y., in 1954, beginning her career as a registered nurse. During Beverly’s career she lovingly provided comfort and care for others at WCA Hospital, Brooks Memorial hospital, in-home private care; and after taking time to raise her family, she returned to the Chautauqua County Home as RN supervisor, retiring in 1998.

Beverly loved and cherished her family more than anything. Together with her husband, James, she enjoyed owning and farming grape vineyards, and growing fruits and vegetables behind their home. She enjoyed hand picking grapes with her children and walking the farm down to Canadaway Creek with her many pet dogs over the years. She also enjoyed baking, canning and making jam, camping and picnicking, taking long rides, and playing pinochle and bingo with her husband and love of her life, James, whom she married in 1955. Beverly was also a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fredonia.

Beverly is survived by her three children: James (Karen) Fisk Jr., and Rosanne (John) Cole, both of Pomfret, N.Y., and Ronald (Debra) Fisk, of Fredonia, N.Y.; and her grandchildren: Nicole (Michael) Beal of Olean, N.Y., Sarah Fisk of Chicago, Ill., Ronald Fisk Jr. of Long Island, N.Y., Ryan Fisk of Cheektowaga, NY., and John Cole Jr. of Pomfret, N.Y. Beverly is also survived by her sisters-in- law ,Betty Green and Audrey Fisk; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James K. Fisk Sr., and her adoring granddaughter, Alissa Mari Cole; and by her sister, Gloria (James) Wells; and brother, Rudolph Brown Jr.

Beverly’s family is truly grateful for the loving and compassionate care of her in-home care givers for the past 2 ¢ years. Your selflessness, kindness, friendship, and genuine dedication to our mother will remain in our hearts forever.
