Robert F. Mignoli, 79, of Dunkirk died Sunday morning (Jan. 24, 2021) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
He was born Aug. 29, 1941, in Dunkirk, the son of the late Joseph and Grace (Ulmer) Mignoli.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Robert was a graduate of Dunkirk High School with the class of 1959. He had been employed as a steel worker at Al Tech Specialty Steel Corp. and also served in the National Guard.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 89.
Bob was a hardworking provider whose purpose in life was his family’s happiness and well-being. He always made it his priority to make sure his family had everything they needed. Knowing that he was able to help was all he ever wanted for his own happiness. His wife, children, and grandchildren were very blessed to have him in their lives. He will be dearly missed forever.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Guzzetta) Mignoli, whom he married June 4, 1966; three children: Laurie (Elfio) Gidoni of Clinton, Md., Robert (Cherish) Mignoli Jr. and Steven (Kelly) Mignoli, both of Fredonia; five grandchildren: Andrew Mignoli, Steven N. Mignoli, Maggie Mignoli, Isabella Mignoli and Grace Gidoni; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine Snyder and Sylvia Incavo; and one brother, Anthony Mignoli.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
