Robin D. Winder, 66, of Dunkirk died Monday morning (Nov. 16, 2020) at home following a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 1, 1954, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Harvey and Jeanine (Gadowaltze) Bloss.

A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Robin graduated from Dunkirk High School with the class of 1972.

She had been employed at Brooks Memorial Hospital and was a member of Family Church in Fredonia.

Survivors include her husband, Donald J. Winder, whom she married Sept. 8, 1973; two sons, Pastor Michael R. (Heather) Winder of Cattaraugus and Derek R. (Allissa) Winder of Pembroke; seven sisters, Cindy (John Hunt) Bielat and Jeannie Gizowski, both of Dunkirk, Penny (Tim) Pilarski of Fredonia, Amy (Louie) DiPietro of Dunkirk, Tracey Briggs of Dunkirk, Toni Rae (Jeff) Benedict of Rome, and April Hill of Dunkirk; one brother, Nick (Julie) DiLorenzo of Dunkirk; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Quick.

Following the guidelines and protocols administered by the governor of New York, family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately after the calling hours at 1 p.m. Pastor Michael R. Winder of Victory Tabernacle, Cattaraugus, will officiate. Burial will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
